घमंडी हाथी और चींटी | Elephant and Ant

एक जंगल में चींटियों का झुंड रहता था, उसकी रानी बहुत मेहनती थी. सुबह-सुबह ही वो अपनी टोली के साथ खाने की तलाश में निकल पड़ती. इसी जंगल में एक घमंडी हाथी भी रहता था. वो जंगल में सभी जानवरों को परेशान करता था. कभी गंदे नाले से सूंड़ में पानी भरकर उन पर फेंक देता, तो कभी अपनी ताक़त का प्रदर्शन करके उन्हें डराता.

उस हाथी को इन चींटियों से बड़ी ईर्ष्या होती थी. वो उन्हें जब भी देखता, तो पैरों से कुचल देता. एक दिन चींटी रानी से हाथी से विनम्रता से पूछा कि आप दूसरों को क्यों परेशान करते हो? यह आदत अच्छी नहीं है.
यह सुनकर हाथी क्रोधित हो गया और उसने चींटी को धमकाया कि तुम अभी बहुत छोटी हो, अपनी ज़ुबान पर लगाम लगाकर रखो, मुझे मत सिखाओ कि क्या सही है, क्या ग़लत वरना तुम्हें भी कुचल दूंगा.

यह सुन चींटी निराश हुई, लेकिन उसने मन ही मन हाथी को सब सिखाने की ठानी. चींटी पास ही एक झाड़ी में छिप गई और मौक़ा देखते ही चुपके से हाथी की सूंड़ में घुस गई. फिर उसने हाथी को काटना शुरु कर दिया. हाथी परेशान हो उठा. उसने सूंड़ को ज़ोर-ज़ोर से हिलाया, लेकिन कोई फ़ायदा नहीं हुआ. हाथी दर्द से कराहने और रोने लगा. यह देख चींटी ने कहा कि हाथी भइया, आप दूसरों को परेशान करते हो, तो बड़ा मज़ा लेते हो, तो अब ख़ुद क्यों परेशान हो रहे हो?
हाथी को अपनी ग़लती का एहसास हो गया और उसने चींटी से माफ़ी मांगी कि आगे से वो कभी किसी को नहीं सताएगा.
चींटी को उस पर दया आ गई. वो बाहर आकर बोली कि कभी किसी को छोटा और कमज़ोर नहीं समझना चाहिए.
यह सुन हाथी बोला कि मुझे सबक मिल चुका है. मुझे अच्छी सीख दी तुमने. अब हम सब मिलकर रहेंगे और कोई किसी को परेशान नहीं करेगा.

सीख: कभी किसी को कमज़ोर और छोटा न समझें. दूसरों के दर्द व तकलीफ़ को समझना ही जीने का सही तरीक़ा है.
